How did you two meet?
Me and Luke met online on a dating website. I was at university at York at the time which is where he lived.
What about the proposal, how did it go?
We went to Prague for a wintery weekend away. Luke had planned to propose to me on a river boat cruise, however the boat when we arrived had broken down so they put us onto an alternate (which was like a soup kitchen on the river) so he went off that idea. He ended up proposing back at the hotel when I was in the bathroom taking off my days makeup
Tell us about your venue, how did you choose it?
Our venue was Cleatham Hall. A customers daughter from work told me about the venue which just happens to be 5 minutes away from our house. I booked an appointment and we went to visit. That day we put down our deposit as we instantly fell in love with the family vibe and gorgeous grounds.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
Our wedding style was fresh and classy. I wanted sage and ivory colours to keep it as naturally beautiful as possible.
Tell us about your dress!
I tried on 9 dresses at Elizabeth Kate bridal and I picked the Rebecca Ingram Ellen Wedding dress, the 7th dress. I went with an idea in my mind with sleeves but I went for the complete opposite to what I had in my mind. I felt so beautiful all day.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
My favourite part of the day was of course marrying the love of my life and saying I do. My grandad has dementia and is in care. I never expected him to be at my wedding but my family planned it behind my back for him to attend the ceremony. When I saw him I cried. It was the best surprise EVER!
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I wouldn't change a single thing about my day. It was perfect in every single way.
Any tips for brides to be?
Advise would be to take even just 20 minutes away from your guests with your new husband so you can take it all in.
