How did you two meet?
Me and Callum met at a mutual friends party, he chased me for a few weeks as I wasn’t interested but he won me over haha!
What about the proposal, how did it go?
He proposed on the beach in Spain while we were watching the sunset with our daughter, it was beautiful!
Tell us about your venue, how did you choose it?
We chose to get married in York as it’s always been somewhere we’ve both loved, we chose our venue because it had the most beautiful ceiling that let in so much natural light, something that was really important to me.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
The style of our wedding was, small, laid back and fun, we just wanted our closest family and friends to make happy memories at our expense, we had so many lovely comments from our guests on the day and so many people saying they wish they had done what we did, it was amazing and so personal
Tell us about your dress!
My Enzoani Love Alara Wedding Dress was just perfect, the first one you picked out for me after explaining what I liked, we tried on 5 more and I went back to it! The layers of lace were just beautiful and the tiny sequins gave it a subtle sparkle which twinkled in the natural light, it paired with my pearl veil so well. My dress fit me perfectly and really did make me feel a million dollars!
Callum and I went into York for some photos and so many people were catcalling us and shouting comments through the street, it was so lovely!
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I don’t think there was anything major that we would have changed, maybe to of factored in time for the registrar coming because I completely forgot and was half dressed when they turned up!
Any tips for brides to be?
A tip for future brides would be to have snacks while getting ready, it really helped with my nerves and gave me something else to think about. And if possible, spend a few minutes just you and your mum, this was one of my favourite parts of my day, we exchanged gifts, read each other letters and sobbed haha but it was so special
