How did you two meet?
We don’t have a romantic story about how we met it’s probably how most people meet nowadays! Good old Facebook! We became friends on Facebook in November 2015. A few picture likes were exchanged, which led to a message, and the rest is history!
What about the proposal, how did it go?
It was perfect! Just us two in our home with our fur baby Daisy. It was the end of December 2021 and I was returning home from the hairdressers, ready for the festive period. I walked through the door and Daisy ran up to me with a new collar on, bright red with a little silver tag on. Typically I didn’t look at the tag, and carried on walking into the lounge where I found Kyle down on one knee with a ring in his hand! (Mariah Carey All I want for Christmas is you playing in the background the soppy bugger) we both had a little cry and of course I said yes after a million OH MY GOD!!’s. My shock had led him to ask if I’d checked Daisy’s collar as she met me at the door to which I said no, I then looked at it to find a little message on the silver tag “will you marry Dad?” How adorable!
What was your wedding style/inspo?
Classic, elegant and timeless! Our venue, Saltmarshe hall, was exactly that and my theme fit in perfectly!
Tell us about your dress!
Well, prior to discovering Elizabeth Kate Bridal I had an awful experience with another shop which had really knocked my confidence with dress shopping. All I can say is everything happens for a reason! As this experience led me to arranging an appointment and meeting two wonderful ladies who helped me find my dream dress! My Enzoani Love Alara wedding dress was everything I had dreamed of and more!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
All of it! I truly could not pick a favourite part as it was all amazing, the day ran seamlessly from start to finish thanks to Saltmarshe Hall and all my suppliers, it was great seeing all my ideas and visions come to life
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I wouldn’t change a thing about the day! I do however wish I’d got a little bit more sleep in the run up to the wedding as I was like a child on Christmas Eve and barely slept!
Any tips for brides to be?
Don’t stress! Trust your suppliers and wedding co-ordinator and everything will fall into place.
