How did you meet?

We met on the dating app Bumble. Swiped right on the Tuesday and had our first date on the Saturday, the rest is history as they say!

Tell us about the proposal, how did it go?

The proposal day was a catalogue of errors. We went to whitby for the day which happened to be the first day of storm Dennis, we could barely speak to each other beacaue of the wind. Gareth was acting suspicious so I had an idea what was going to happen but it never did. We got blown around all day and still nothing, he then suggested ice cream in Scarborough....a bit random yes but I went with it. Still nothing! Finally agreed to head home absolutely freezing and in the car with heating and bum warmers on he pulled the ring from his pocket.

What was your wedding style/inspo?

The venue was my wedding inspo - Oakwell Hall in Birstall. I found it on Instagram and knew it was the place before I even saw it. An old stone barn with a courtyard and garden, a blank canvas for me to decorate as I wanted.

Our original date in April 2021 was cancelled due to covid but I wanted spring flowers and their colours to be the main decor. My florist made this happen, she did an amazing job.

Tell us about your dress!

My beautiful Rebecca Ingram Elsie wedding dress. A dress I loved the look of but never thought would suit me. When I tried her on I knew she was the one. Between chosing her and wearing her was a 2 year gap (covid) and I had had a baby so my weight and body shape had changed. Kim was amazing and with some alterations and tweets here and there we created MY version of Elsie!

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

The whole day was amazing from start to finish even with the freaky UK heatwave which I was really worried about. Just perfect.

Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)

I wish we had started earlier so the day would have lasted longer. We started at 5pm as we had done the 'serious' bit the year before on our original day. This day was the celebration with all our family and friends.

It's not a change as such but the table with guest book and other fun things to do was inside so didn't get seen by alot of people so things didn't get done.

Also I didnt manage to get some photos that I wanted so I wish I'd have made that a priority.
