How did you two meet?
Gus & I met when we were 15 years old on a double date, but we were both with other people at a cinema. I thought he was the cutest person ever but never thought he would have even taken notice of me.
10 years later, and lots of paths crossed along the way, he found me when we most needed each other. We went on our first date to the coolest pub & my mum always told me “When you know, you know” and that I did, we knew it!
What about the proposal, how did it go?
It was Christmas Eve 2019, Gus was actually on edge ALL day! We was putting together a gingerbread house at the time and he said we should give each other a small gift, so I thought I would look for the “pair of socks” I had wrapped for him haha, and whilst looking, I turned around and there he was on his knee with a ring. I couldn’t believe it, it was just mega, in front of our Christmas tree, I felt like I was in a film.
What was your wedding style/inspo?
Our wedding style/inspo, originally came from our wedding invites (peachwolfe) I adored the colours and the flowers on the invitation itself. I love earth tones, so I knew I wanted to create those colours throughout & I had the best suppliers I could ever ask for which made my vision and end result more than I could have dreamed of.
Tell us about the dress!
THE DRESS- WOW! I just want to wear it all the time, I will never get over the moment I tried it on, and I knew the Elysee Etoile wedding dress was the one from my mum & bridesmaids reactions. It was the Boho dream dress, it had angel sleeves and the most beautiful back.
Elizabeth Kate, are truly the best and I can’t thank the team enough for making me feel like a real bride. I miss being their customer already, I loved travelling to their shop to have alterations done and chatting about life. They have so much patience & time for you, I have already recommended Elizabeth Kate numerous times to future brides. Thank you always.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
It was the day of dreams! The whole entire day from start to finish was everything & more. Even the rain added the autumnal touch and made everyone so close.
It’s hard to pin point my favourite part but getting in the wedding car with my dad alone, and stepping outside to see all my family, friends & Gus waiting for me to walk down the aisle. The emotions were so raw and it touched me like nothing before.
Any changes? (Things you wish you’d done or wish you hadn’t!)
I can honestly hand on my heart say there would be nothing I would change about our day. Just wish the day could have been even longer haha!!
Any tips for brides to be?
I would say on the actual day of your wedding don’t feel like you have to go up and talk to every single person, try and relax as people will come to you, it’s your day!
Also- try as MANY wedding dresses on as you can, Elizabeth Kate gave me that luxury to try so many on, even though I knew I had found her!
Don’t check your weather app the morning of the wedding just go with it, and no matter what the weather you’ll have the most funky day!
Lastly- just live your best life and let the magic happen!
