How did you two meet?
We met at school when we were 11.. he asked me out in year 8 and i said no, then in year 11 when we were 15 ~ he asked again and i finally said yes
What about the proposal, how did it go?
By 18 we were in love and he proposed but it was never an immediate plan, three houses and 2 children later he proposed properly in Manchester when we were 31 and the wedding plans began.
What was you wedding style/inspo?
We have always loved autumn, all the beautiful colours, we always celebrated the day we got together and our 1st daughter was also born the week after our anniversary so it made sense to get married on the day we got together 19.11, and we then rolled it into a 20 year anniversary celebration too!
Tell us about your dress?
My Elysee Etoile wedding dress was not what I expected to choose - I wanted sleeves and a high neckline, but after trying on a few I fell in love with with the opposite! She was elegant and made me feel like a princess. At the last fitting I chose to add a long veil instead of a short one which I am super happy with, it looked stunning on the day!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
My favourite part of the wedding day was just standing there after all the formalities, the sun was setting over the water, my children were playing and I looked around the room seeing all our friends and family together and I just felt so happy and complete.
Any changes? (things you wish you'd done or wish you hadn't)
I wish I had done a speech - I had so much to say in my head but my nerves got the better of me.
Any tips for Brides to be?
My tip for other brides would be, don't go mad on tiny details, they hardly got noticed, people were just happy to be there and have a good time, not bothered what you have bought as a table centre piece, no one is judging you!
