There’s something so magical about modern love stories that feel straight out of a fairytale, and Chloe and Rich’s is just that. From swiping right on Tinder to saying “I do” in a dreamy French farmhouse surrounded by sunshine and blooms, their wedding was a perfect reflection of romance, personality, and heart.
We loved having Chloe as one of our EK brides, her warmth, creativity, and eye for detail made her bridal journey such a joy to be part of. Her choice of the Levi gown by Serene by Madi Lane, paired with custom puff sleeves crafted by our very own Holly, brought together modern femininity and timeless romance in the most effortless way.
Their wedding at the stunning Manoir Beaulieu in Salles Lavalette, France was a venue that perfectly captured their French farmhouse, floral garden party vision. Every detail was filled with charm and personality, from the soft romance of the setting to the joy that radiated through the day. Read on to find out how their journey evolved......
How did you meet?
We are a modern love story and met on Tinder!
Tell us about your proposal
The year before our proposal, our friends got engaged in Thailand, Rich & I looked after their dog, Nipper, while they were away. As an engagement gift, I made my friend a story book called "Nippers little secret" in which her dog told all our friends dogs a secret aka his mum and dad were getting engaged. So when it came to our proposal, Rich had managed to get me to my favourite beach, Runswick Bay, near Whitby (a place I'd always hinted was romantic and would be a lovely place to be proposed to!). We sat down on a rock to look out over the bay and he pulled out of his bag a book called "Nippers little secret, Part 2" and with a little help from Nipper, asked me to be his wife!
When did you get married?
26th July 2025
Where did your wedding take place?
Manoir Beaulieu, Salles Lavalette, France
Tell us a little about the vibe or theme of your day?
French farmhouse, romantic, floral, garden party vibes.
Tell us about the dress!
I went for the Levi, Serene by Madi Lane wedding dress. I absolutely loved my dress and felt so gorgeous in it on the day!
How did you know it was 'the one'?
I found dress shopping difficult because I'm so indecisive and I felt I'd gone sort of "dress blind" as in I'd tried so many on I didn't know which one to go for. When I tried Levi on, I felt like a modern bride. I added puff sleeves (made by Holly!) and it transformed a dress I already loved into a dress I felt was romantic & modern which is how I'd describe my style in general. It felt true to me!
Any special memory from your EK appointment you'd love to share?
I loved every experience at Elizabeth Kate, Kim and & Holly made the process seamless. I particularly enjoyed getting to show my Mum, sister and Mother in Law the dress, it was a special memory will cherish forever!
What was your favourite moment on the wedding day?
Just before our guests arrived, I had my hair and make up done, I looked out into the courtyard. "Days like this" by Dermot Kennedy was playing, the sun was shining and there was a hum of people setting up the day and I honestly felt euphoric. It was like all the hard work and planning was finally coming together and I just couldn't wait to get out there, see my friends and family and marry the man I love.
What advice would you give to brides planning now?
Don't be afraid to delegate some tasks! It's ok to ask for help.
Anything last thoughts you'd love future EK brides to know?
Soak up every moment, whilst some things can feel stressful at the time, you'll look back and see how worth it everything was.
