Some love stories are simply meant to be, and for our beautiful EK bride Coral, fate really did step in. After years of crossing paths through friends, a last-minute ticket to a charity ball changed everything. Fast forward to a breathtaking snowy proposal in Switzerland, and finally, the most elegant wedding day at Hodsock Priory filled with timeless style, emotion, and love.

From the moment she tried on the Eva Lendel Lika wedding dress, Coral knew she’d found the one. Her bridal journey is the perfect mix of serendipity, self-confidence, and classic modern romance, we couldn’t be more honoured to have been part of this story.

How did you meet?

We had known each other for many years, through friends of friends nothing ever romantic. I hosted a charity ball in memory of my best friend and my HUSBAND got a last minute ticket on the day due a guest illness. The rest is history and it felt like fate brought us together.

Tell us about your proposal

We’d planned a trip to Switzerland with family. One of the days we’d planned to go to the mountains, whilst at the viewing point in the snow he got down on one knee and proposed.

Tell us a little about the vibe or theme of your day?

Classic monochrome with a pop of lemon. All guest were wearing black and bridesmaids in lemon.

Tell us about the dress!

She was made for me. I knew from the moment I saw the Eva Lendel Lika wedding dress at Hodsock’s catwalk that it was going to be my dress. It was absolutely perfect, the whole vibe was everything that I was looking for.

How did you know it was ‘the one’?

I originally didn’t want to go to my appointment as I and was feeling very self conscious about myself and body. I went to my appointment with no make up and an oversized top thinking I wouldn’t find anything. The girls were amazing made me feel so comfortable and secure within myself. As soon as I tried her on I felt beautiful for the first time in a very long time. I tried 8 dresses in total and kept going back to the Eva Lendel dress, I just knew she was the one.

Any special memory from your EK appointment you’d love to share?

The whole journey was so special both Kim and Holly made every appointment perfect. The most special memory would be when they hand made a veil for me, due to the original style not arriving on time. I have never had so many compliments, my veil was absolutely perfect. I didn’t see it until my final appointment and they nailed the brief.

What was your favourite moment on the wedding day?

Every single second was perfect, but my favourite moment was probably when India snuck us both away for 15 mins and we sat down for the first time as husband and wife eating ice cream. It’s the little moments.

What advice would you give to brides planning now?

Enjoy every moment of planning and don’t rush or let anyone rush you into making decisions, it’s yours and your partners day. Spend as much time as you can together on the day, so you can relive the same memories.
