Step into a love story as magical as the setting itself. When our gorgeous Elizabeth Kate bride, Megan, said “I do” to her soulmate Tom beneath the trees at Hirst Priory, it was everything she’d dreamed of, a woodland fairy-tale filled with twinkling lights, laughter, and love. From meeting over a game of darts (yes, really!) to tying the knot surrounded by family, friends, and their little boy, every moment was pure magic. And Megan's dress? The gorgeous Enzoani Love Aishia wedding dress, a floating, ethereal masterpiece that brought her woodland vision to life.

How did you meet?
We met on a night out in Brigg in 2012. We actually met playing darts (very romantic) Tom then stalked me on Facebook and we've not left each others side since!!
Tell us about your proposal:
During a family holiday in Cornwall 2021 Tom proposed in the beautiful Polperro. We were sooo excited and over the moon to join our family who were down the road to tell them the exciting news!
When did you get married?
We got married this summer Saturday 26th July 2025 we chose this date specifically as it was my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary.
Where did your wedding take place?
Our wedding was at Hirst priory- we fell in love with the location and the Tipis from Serentipi during an open day in 2022. This was actually the first and last place we went to visit as when we walked in we just knew it was THE place. Magical from the moment we laid eyes on it!
Tell us a little about the vibe or theme of your day:
My dream since being young has been to have a magical woodland wedding with a Tipi and that's what it was. A gorgeous ceremony under the trees surrounded by greenery, the most beautiful tipi I have ever laid my eyes on and fairy lights everywhere! We had an incredible band playing musical throughout the day and into the night and of course music bingo hosted by one of our close friends which then got the party started!!
Tell us about the dress:
The dress, the most special part, my dream! I had one requirement with my dress ' I want to be a woodland fairy' and boy did we find it, all thanks to Heather! It's just everything I wanted in a wedding dress.
How did you know it was 'the one'?
The dress is stunning the photos speak for themselves but the design on the bodice just took my breath away it was so different yet beautiful and I just loved everything about it!
The different layers of the dress are stunning and I felt like I was floating wearing it. It's such a shame I will never wear it again! If only it was acceptable to wear round Morrisons... I'd probably do it!
Any special memory from your EK appointment you'd love to share?
I knew my dream dress would be an EK dress, I was fortunate to meet the lovely Kim years ago as I was a bridesmaid for one of my close friends, I had recently had my baby boy and I wasn't feeling brilliant. Kim made me feel SO comfortable she allowed me to visit as much as I needed to feel comfortable in my bridesmaid dress that I knew this was the most lovely, wonderful place owned by wonderful, kind women. My dress wasn't going to be from anywhere else.
What was your favourite moment on the wedding day?
I can't even pinpoint one moment. The whole thing was more magical than I could've ever imagined, seeing my little boy and dog walk down the aisle in front of me will always be a memory I treasure. But marrying Tom in the most beautiful ceremony surrounded by so many of our family and friends is a memory I'll keep forever ❤️
What advice would you give to brides planning now?
Just enjoy it and try to not stress... everything will come together in the end. Also go for it with ideas you have, it's your day so make it yours!
Anything else you'd love future EK brides to know?
You are in the safest hands EVER! Kim, Holly and Heather probably know what you need more than you do 😂 there were times Kim knew what I was thinking about my dress without me speaking! They are wonder women with hearts of gold!

A dreamy woodland tipi wedding at Hirst Priory brought our stunning bride Megan’s vision to life. After meeting her now-husband on a night out in Brigg, their love story came full circle with a romantic proposal in Cornwall and a celebration under the trees surrounded by fairy lights, music, and their loved ones.
