MELISSA AND ADRIAN: Real Elizabeth Kate Bride Wearing Enzoani Love Dion Wedding Dress

From a blind date neither of them wanted to go on, to a surprise proposal overlooking the ocean in Tenerife, Melissa and Adrian's love story is nothing short of magical. The couple tied the knot at the stunning GF Victoria Hotel in Adeje, the very place he popped the question, surrounded by sunset skies, music, and their closest loved ones. Melissa wore a breathtaking lace Enzoani Love gown from Elizabeth Kate Bridal, a dress she instantly knew was “the one” with the help of our team (and her beloved Nan by her side!). How did you meet?

We met on a blind date, a friend who knew us both separately for years was trying to get us to go on a date for months. We both didn’t want to go as we didn’t know anything about each other but we went to stop the friend from bugging us. Once we met we got on so well and have been together ever since.

Tell us about your proposal

For our proposal I had no idea Adrian was going to propose. I went on holiday without Adrian with my family. Adrian couldn’t come due to work commitments. Unbeknownst to me he had planned to fly out to surprise me. My mum and dad were in on it, they told me we were going to a rooftop bar one night. We got to the venue and it was a rooftop garden at the gf Victoria hotel in Adeje, Tenerife that overlooked the sea and had little water fountains and lots of flowers. When I got to the rooftop I walked around a corner and Adrian was stood there with my little boy and got down on one knee and proposed.

When did you get married?

We got married 25/08/2025

Where did your wedding take place? (Venue + Location)

Our wedding took place at the GF Victoria hotel in Tenerife, Adeje. It’s the same place we got engaged.

Tell us a little about the vibe or theme of your day (modern, romantic, boho, classic...)?

Our theme for the wedding was a classic vibe with plenty of orange to match the sunset which was our favourite thing about the venue.

Tell us about the dress!

My dress was a fitted, lace fish tail style Enzoani Love dress. It has lots of lace detail.

How did you know it was 'the one'?

I  tried on mostly satin dresses but none of them felt like me. After getting some help from the girls at Elizabeth Kate bridal they recommended trying a lace dress on. As soon as I tried the lace dresses I knew they felt more like me. Eventually we found the perfect one that was comfortable and very suitable for my wedding location.

Any special memory from your EK appointment you'd love to share?

I brought my Nan with me to my first appointment to help me look for my dress and they were so accommodating of her as she spends a lot of time in the house so doesn’t get out much. They were so helpful with her and really helped get her involved with the process. She loved it!

What was your favourite moment on the wedding day?

My favourite moment of the wedding was having the saxophonist play while the sun was setting, everyone was dancing and having fun, it was perfect!

What advice would you give to brides planning now?

I’d say to other brides getting married don’t get caught up on the small things, you won’t notice them on the day. The main thing is having the people there that will bring the energy and excitement, they really make the day.

Anything else you'd love future EK brides to know?

I’d always recommend EK bridal to everyone, they were amazing! I got my dress and headband from them.
